Welcome to Liminal Dorset: Where Slow Fashion Meets Art With Soul

Liminal isn’t just a brand. It’s a collaboration. A living, breathing, ever-evolving love story between clothes and art - and the people who make them.

Founded by Rebecca (designer and slow fashion advocate) and Weef (graphic artist and all-around creative force), Liminal Dorset is where forgotten fabrics and bold visuals come together to tell new stories. Through carefully curated, themed edits, they blend slow fashion (designed and made in-house) and original artwork into collections that are colourful, expressive, and unapologetically joyful.

Based in Dorset, Liminal is more than a sustainable fashion brand. It’s a studio, a workshop, an art space, and a community hub - one stitched seam, printed patch, brushstroke and collage at a time.

What Is Liminal?

Liminal means the space in-between - a threshold. And that’s exactly where this brand lives.

Between fashion and fine art.
Between waste and wonder.
Between what was and what could be.

Liminal is where Rebecca’s handmade clothing meets Weef’s bold, stylised artwork - together creating pieces, edits, and experiences that feel fresh, real, and full of character.

The Creative Duo Behind Liminal

Rebecca reimagines clothing. Her process is slow, intentional, and rooted in sustainability. She works with found fabrics, upcycled textiles, and off-cuts to create one-of-a-kind pieces that are playful, wearable, and made to last.

Weef creates art with punches of colour that feel like a wink from across the room. His work is graphic, expressive, and stylised - inspired by everyday joy, curiosity, and colour. Together, they fuse their practices into cohesive, themed edits - curated collections that bring their two voices into bold harmony.

Each edit might focus on a mood, a concept, or a shared obsession. It might show up in a series of upcycled jackets and stitched patches. In bold wall art and soft cotton dresses. In a workshop, a pop-up, or a collaged installation. Liminal’s format is flexible. The energy? Always the same: playful, thoughtful, and made with love.

What We Make & Do

At Liminal, we don’t follow fashion seasons or churn out endless stock. We work in curated drops and rotating edits, pairing handmade clothing, original art + prints, and collaborative collections - all designed, sewn, drawn, patched, printed, and painted with care.

Here’s what we offer:

1. Reimagined Clothing With Character

Rebecca’s clothing line is rooted in slow fashion and sustainable making. From reimagined jackets to hand-stitched details, each garment is unique and tells its own story. Nothing is mass-produced. Everything is made to be worn, loved, and passed on.

2. Original Art by Weef

Weef’s art is vibrant, stylised, and full of personality. His work pops up across prints, collage, designs, and visual elements that run through every Liminal edit and his original artwork is available for purchase.

3. Collaborative Curated Edits

Together, Rebecca and Weef create cohesive collections (or “edits”) that bring art and fashion into conversation. Think mood boards in real life: colour, theme, message - all held in balance across clothes and canvases.

4. Workshops & Events

From slow sewing workshops in Dorset to creative gatherings and community events, Liminal makes space for learning, making, and connection. Whether you’re a beginner or lifelong maker, you’re welcome in the Liminal circle.

Why Repurposing? Why Art?

Because the world doesn’t need more stuff - it needs more meaningful stuff.

Fast fashion is designed to be disposable. Mass-produced art often lacks soul. Liminal is a rebellion against both. We believe in making less, and making better - using what already exists, adding value through creativity.

That’s why we use reclaimed fabrics, off-cuts, vintage finds, and leftover materials. And why every illustration, every brushstroke, and every stitch is done by hand.

This isn’t about perfection. It’s about character, care, and creativity - the stuff that makes life feel richer.

What We Stand For

At Liminal, our work is guided by five values:

Sustainability - we repurpose, reuse, and rethink. Always.
Artfulness - we believe beauty matters. Play matters. Decorating your life is not frivolous - it’s powerful.
Community - we create together. We share skills. We celebrate slow makers.
Curiosity - We don’t chase trends - we follow questions. What can this fabric become? What conversations might this spark Liminal is a place of experimentation, always evolving.
Joy - we lead with it. Our clothes are joyful. Our workshops are joyful. Joy is a protest, and we’re flying the flag.

Our values are driven by passion - we give a shit. About the planet, about the process, about each other.

A Decorative Life Does No Harm

That’s our mission in a sentence.

To make things that are beautiful, but not wasteful. To bring people together through creativity. To show that you can live colourfully, sustainably, and with style, without selling your soul (or contributing to landfill).

Liminal is a space for creative expression, conscious making, and collaborative living. We’re building it with our hands, our hearts, and the things other people passed along.
